the 4th of July

For the 4th we wanted to go somewhere, but instead decided to stay close to home, and help Merrick with his potty training! So we headed out to IHOP for brunch...after about 20 minutes the kids were getting restless, our waitress kept assuring us that our food was on its way but after almost an hour our FREE food came. So in the mean time we took some pictures to entertain the wild monkeys!! After our late brunch we took the kids to see Wall-E. Aubree enjoyed it-Merrick was a different story and run up and down the aisles, he was not amused at all by Wall-E.
so after Merrick got a much needed nap the kids headed outside before dinner and found the only hole in the hose, they some how got completely drenched by one little hole?!? being just the 4 of us we still had to BBQ and eat outside...it was still the 4th, so we all enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs and watermelon before heading down to CSI across the canyon to see the fireworks, we sat nearby in the back of the truck, mostly to keep running children confined. It was a great family day to spend together.
