the first week of soccer was a busy one.... well mostly for mom & Aubree. It just happened to work out that there were soccer games the same day as dance performances, lucky for us the two events happened just blocks away from each other so we just zipped back and forth a few times!!
first Aubree had to be at the school at 10 am for her first dance..( i know it's kinda blurry but she in the front middle)
then as soon as she was done, we headed over to the soccer field for Merrick's game that also started at 10am. he wasn't alone, Dad was with him!!
when Merrick's game was over it was time for Aubree's game that started at 11. while we watched her game we waited for a text message, so we'd know when it was time to go back over to the school for Aubree's second dance (do you see her, she has on pink shin guards)
then about 11:15 we got the text message, jumped in the car. changed back to dance clothes and got to the school just in time for dance #2!... there she is on the far right!
we were so quick that when we got back to the soccer field they were still playing. So she jumped right back in (after a quick wardrobe change) and was able to finish off the game!!
I guess that's what you get when you sign your kids up for more than one thing... but it really wasn't that bad. all in all it was a fun day! and from now on the soccer games will be so simple, just show up & play!!!
