This was Merrick's first chance to play and I'm pretty sure he had a good time. He had his moments when he would mope around the field or instead of chasing the ball, he'd chase after another kid. But as his coach pointed out... at least he was ON the field and he DIDN'T eat grass (i guess some 4 yr olds have a tendency to that) So he did pretty well!
He even got to be "GOALIE" -- he was so excited!! too bad the ball never came down his way.
This is right after a good kick. I missed the kick, but a got a good shot of his "Victory dance"

Aubree did pretty well this year, she gets right in there and has fun! Her coach was really awesome this year, they were learning how to play the different positions instead of just running around as a big group chasing the ball. He even gave all the kids a soccer ball at the end of the season, so they could keep practicing! - how great is that!
... and here is her team! --they finally won there last game, Aubree was kinda sad she wanted the other team to win because her friend George was on that team.
For the most part the weather cooperated this spring. We only had one REALLY BAD COLD AND WINDY DAY. It was kinda fun having both kids out there playing & only once was it at the same time.

Looks like you guys really had fun with soccer. That's great! We are trying to decide what to jump into at our house. The options are endless but the weather is crazy here for outdoor sports combined with young kids. Maybe I'm just a chicken about having them out playing hard in the cold.
Aubree is so sweet! She really cares about her friend if she wanted his team to beat hers!
Merrick's victory dance is the best! That "I did it" feeling is oh so good!
