Aubree was involved in a kids summer camp at the local rec center. She went straight from swim team practice at 8:30 and was done at 2 every day for 6 weeks. So that created a lot of Mom & Merrick time, which turned out to be really great!! I loved having a little buddy to hang out and run errands with me all the time!
we had quite a few "lunch dates" even if it was a costco hot dog
we visited all the pets he thought he wanted to bring home
..and he really, really wanted to bring home a pet bird!
we went to a museum
we watched the parade that kicks off our local county fair (Aubree got to ride on a float for kids camp)
but honestly.... this is probably his favorite part of "our" time. He spent some quality time with the Wii. He will be so sad when they break up when he heads off to school
It really was great to spend time with him and spoil him. I'm going to miss him when he goes back to school
